Multi-service centers are at the heart of City of Houston communities, providing a wide range of services to fulfill the needs of area residents. This 85,000 square foot facility incorporates both social and recreational services under one barrel-vaulted roof. The project includes a senior citizens center, day care with an adjacent playground, classrooms, family counseling area, offices, clothing pantry, and food pantry. A full-size NBA basketball court can be divided into two areas, with seating for 800 people. Locker and shower areas, two kitchens, conference rooms, and hobby/crafts rooms further enhance the facilities available.

The demolition and rebuilding of two restroom areas was completed within a fully operational terminal without any disruption at Houston’s first commercial airport. Hobby Airport, originally named Houston Municipal Airport in 1937, now features a “smart” restroom providing a nearly touchless experience, the modular design with new wall panel systems improves air quality, lighting, and air circulation.

The County’s Community Supervision & Corrections Department strives to help supervised individuals become productive citizens, and in turn, create safer communities. While closely communicating with facility operators in order to maintain their vital program operations, Gonzalez completed extensive sitework, excavation, concrete work, infrastructure, site lighting and installation of underground dry utilities.

Built through a Develop-Design-Build process, this garden-style apartment community features 132 spacious units surrounding a swimming pool and exercise room. Residents enjoy modern finishes such as European cabinets, wood-styled flooring, LED lighting, granite countertops, undermount kitchen and bathroom sinks. Each unit features abundant storage with walk-in closets, and balconies with storage closets.
